Hurricane and Storm Information

High school football games scheduled for this evening are continuing as scheduled.

At this time, the SATs that are schedule for Saturday morning at Memorial are continuing as planned.

The Jackson Memorial High School Band Competition is CANCELED.

While forecasts are predicting the storm may not hit this area as hard as we anticipated, high winds can sometimes impact power lines which could affect planned events. Any changes to this information will be posted on this website.

The governor's declaration of a "State of Emergency'' for New Jersey on Thursday empowers state officials to provide immediate assistance to local towns if necessary.

The declaration itself does NOT mean that schools are automatically closed or that residents need to take any particular action.

For more information see this page on the state's OEM site.

The Red Zone, our spirit club, is cheering on all of our fall sports in an amazing way.  Any student who wishes to join the Red Zone can purchase a Red Zone t-shirt in the athletics office during the day, at any home football game, or can see Mr. Chesley.  T-shirts cost $10 and in return the student will receive entry into the Red Zone and be able to participate in all tailgates and other Red Zone activities.

This year’s Spirit Week has been announced!  It will begin on Monday, October 5th!  The week will include various school spirit contests, the Battle of the Classes competition on Wed, Oct 7th at 6 pm, and will culminate in the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 10th.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT STUDENT PICK UP AFTER SCHOOL!!!  There are many students who stay after school for activities and athletics and there is a growing concern about their safety while walking around our campus.  The gate to the back entrance of the school closes at 3 pm to stop cars from entering or exiting the campus from Vet’s Highway.  Also, there are cones throughout the parking lot to stop cars from driving and/or parking in certain areas.  We are asking that you do not ignore the cones or move the cones in order to get a closer parking spot to pick up your child.  All students must be picked up in one of the two parking lots.  The Jackson Police and Fire Departments have expressed their concern over this safety issue and will be monitoring the campus and issuing tickets and/or towing if necessary.
